Therapy looks different for everyone and is unique to your needs, personality, concerns, and strengths.

You might have a very specific issue you would like to work on.

You might be going through a major life change that has knocked you off course and you need help getting back on your feet.

You might have a general dissatisfaction with how things are going lately and want to dig deeper to figure out what is causing your distress.

Or things might be going well but you know they could be even better.

Whatever you bring into the therapy room, we will meet you at the beginning and stay by your side until you’ve found your way forward to your best life.

I’ve always been fascinated by people. From a very young age, I was quite sensitive and always felt my feelings intensely. As I got older, I realized that not everyone was like that and started to wonder why.

Was one way better than the other?

Should I try to feel less? Should other people try to feel more?

When I got to high school, and discovered that there was a whole profession dedicated to exploring people and their feelings, I was hooked.

Personally, I have experienced the transformative power of therapy.

I understand how vulnerable you feel when you first step into a stranger’s office to talk about things you’ve never spoken out loud. I also know the feeling of relief and the thrill of hope when you make the right connection and feel the power to make meaningful changes in your life.

As a therapist, you will find my approach to be warm, straightforward, and collaborative.

We’re in this together. My job is to support you, give you a nudge in the right direction when I see you veering off course or spinning your wheels, and provide you with the honest, informed, and compassionate feedback that you may not be getting from others in your life.

We will begin with assessing where you currently are and what your most pressing needs for relief are. While we work on steps for helping you with your current pain, we will also begin to explore previous traumas, relationships, and experiences that have brought you to where you are now.

Even though those times have passed, there is much we can still do today to heal those wounds. You do not need to carry the hurt with you any longer. We can relieve you of that burden. As that weight starts to lift, you will begin to experience relief in your current life.

We will continue our work together until you feel prepared to carry our work forward independently. I will always be there for you should you need a tune up or find a new area to work on, but my goal is for you to heal and move on from our relationship.

I’m a native Chicagoan and live with my husband, three young children, and our rescue dog.

I hold a BA in Psychology from New York University and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I completed internships in a private practice setting as well as in a behavioral health hospital and have experience working with a diverse range of people, with a particular interest in maternal mental health and trauma/PTSD.
