Where is your office located?

We are located at 1159 Wilmette Avenue, Suite 225, in the heart of downtown Wilmette.
There is plenty of street parking available directly in front of the office on Wilmette Avenue or in the public lot one half block east.

Carolyn sees clients via telehealth only.

What types of clients do you see?

We work with adults and couples.

We specialize in addictions, ADHD, maternal mental health, trauma/PTSD, and self-injury, but we work with a wide variety of people. Even if you don’t fit into one of those categories, we may very well be able to help.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

This answer will be different for everyone. Certain issues resolve faster than others and people come to us at very different points on their journey to healing.

After your initial consultation, we can lay out an initial plan, generally involving weekly sessions. Sometimes people need additional support, especially at first, and we may have sessions twice a week. As we progress, we can adjust the schedule as is clinically appropriate, decreasing frequency as we move toward finishing our work together.

Some people stay in therapy on an on-going basis, wanting to have a safe space to explore new issues as they arise or to work on personal growth outside of a specific issue.

What if I want to work with you but I live too far, or need different times than you have available?

We want to make therapy as convenient and accessible as possible. To that end, we offer teletherapy (online sessions) for individuals who live too far from the office or whose schedule does not quite align with our usual office hours. You can read more about our teletherapy option here.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens and have a flexible cancellation policy. Our cancellation fee is $100.00 if cancellation is less than 24 hours in advance.

However, we waive the fee once per year and give you the option to use the waiver when you cancel without enough notice.
